Tonight I have finished God of War III. This is a game that I'm a bit conflicted about. Obviously it was good enough that I played through it, but in some ways it was unfulfilling. The violence was gratifying and excessive at the same time. At the end I was almost venting rage beating Zeus, and at the same time I have to give props for a game that can turn you into the raging maniac that is the lead character.
In the end, you feel the need to take out your aggression on the character that put you through this whole ordeal.
This game I'll probably keep. I make no promises if I'll play it again. I'd probably be interested in the HD collection of 1 and 2, but as of right now, there's no immediate need to rush.
I'm attempting the monumental task of going through all my unfinished videogames in alphabetical order. No small feat.

Go Home, God of War III, You're Drunk!
You are an action game, GoWIII. Why must you pretend you're some puzzle game?
You are no Water Temple, either...

Okay, a Little Recap
I haven't been writing for a few weeks, but here are a few updates:
Bad news: I bought Portal and Portal 2 for the mac from Steam. I say bad news, because I bought two games; however, as stated in my rules, I'm allowed to buy a game once I've beaten an old one, and so far I've beaten 11 games so I'm ok with buying those games. The reason I bought them was so I'd be able to play something over the holidays when I went to Seattle and Mexico.
Good news: I beat both of those games before the end of my Christmas break. I think this is a bit of a breakthrough. I couldn't tell you the last time I had such a short time between buying a new game and beating it.
Update: I'm back to playing God of War III. It's still violent and still gory. I wish I had played the previous two games, and although they are available in nice, shiny, pretty, new HD versions for PS3, I will probably not be buying them any time soon. Portal was an exception and a Christmas present to myself, and I will not be repeating that in the immediate future. I need to get on with my list. My FAQ tells me I'm something like half way through God of War. (Yes, I checked an FAQ. It's not a particularly difficult game, but I have one bookmarked in case I get stuck. No, I won't apologize for that. I'm on a timetable here, people!)
Also, Kratos is kind of a dick.
